Tribute to Fidel Castro is the report of the last journey of Cuba’s leader who, through his revolution, has changed the history of the island becoming one of the most known myth in the world. The procession of Fidel’s ashes from Havana to Santiago (retracing backwards the places symbol of the revolution) has gathered during the trip millions of persons. It has been a four day trip among cries and memories, pictures, newspapers articles of another era. A celebration in memory of the man who defied the US and that, for better or for worse, is the father of the people of cuba, of the revolution and of the motto “a better world is possibile”. This short reportage will be part of the book I designed, “Propaganda!”, that describes the slogans of socialism through the many posters that used to be everywhere around the island, matching them with the fundamentals of cuban Constitution and moment of everyday life. A better world is possible, but we have to overcome the contradictions that the economic policies can carry during a period of change and that can affect individuals and communities. With Fidel’s death different scenarios open ahead that history still has to write.
